Public and Subscribed Track & Trace

Info

PortConnect provides two forms of Track & Trace functionality that allows users to look at information about containers that move through our partner ports:

Public Track & Trace - provides limited key information about containers.

Subscribed Track & Trace - Monthly subscription which provides full container information.

PortConnect does not display through containers.

Depot View

Users can subscribe to a Depot view. The depot section sits at the bottom of the Track & Trace screen and shows Gate In and Gate Out information at over 18 depots including the Ports of Auckland Link facility. A full list of depots is available here, Container Park list

Note: Depot records only become visible in the Track & Trace screen once the container has gated in at a depot facility.

The depot view is a separate service to Subscribed Track & Trace and users can subscribe to the view even if they are not currently registered for Subscribed Track & Trace. However, Subscribed Track & Trace users do have access to a greater level of detail such as specific gate times.

Event Details:

Last Updated - This is the time the port have last updated the container information.

Activated Date - When the container has started tracking in the ports system.

Seaport Gate Out/Gate In Date - Gate in/out time for truck or rail

Inland Port Gate Out/Gate In Date - Gate in/out time for truck or rail

Line Clearance - This field shows the time of general Line Clearances. If additional Line Holds are placed on containers this clearance time will not be updated.

Customs Clearance - This field shows the time of general/blanket Customs Clearances. If additional Customs impediments, such as X-Ray or inspections impediments, are placed on containers this clearance time will not be updated.

Containers may not show up for one of three possible reasons:

  1. For Imports the Vessel Bay Plan (summary of containers on the vessel) may not have been received by the port yet.

  2. For Exports the container may not have been pre-advised yet.

  3. The container number you have searched may not be correct.

Complete the Application for Credit - PortConnect Ltd.docx and send to info@portconnect.co.nz to confirm that you want to have access to Subscribed Track & Trace. Get instant access by subscribing via Credit Card (Recommended)

Please note there is a subscription charge of $120of $135.00NZD 70NZD incl. GST per company per month for Subscribed Track & Trace.

$1628.40NZD incl. GST per company per year.

What happens if I unsubscribe from Subscribed from Subscribed Track & Trace?

You will still have access to use Public Track & Trace and you can resubscribe to Subscribed Track & Trace again any time in the future.

When will the invoice be sent?

Invoices will no longer be sent in the first week of each month.

Who will the invoice be sent to?

Invoices will be sent to the Admin user(s) from each company. If you want us to send invoices to a specific email address then please contact info@portconnect.co.nz 

When are payments due?

Payments are required on the 20th of the following month. Invoices and statements are sent out on the first week of the month.. You can log into stripe and download your invoices on request.

How do I unsubscribe?

  • Make sure your account has no outstanding invoices
  • Email info@portconnect.co.nz to request to cancel your subscription

    If you have an active subscription against your user account, you will have the option to ‘Manage Subscription’ on the pricing page and remove your credit card details.

  • The cancellation will only apply to the Detailed Track & Trace service
