Manual Cargo Creation

Manual Cargo Creation

The BBMS Create Cargo page gives users the ability to manually create cargo records. This is particularly helpful for one-off or low volume records.

Add Cargo Items

To get started, users must select a Vessel Visit and Exchange Type. This will enable the ‘Add’ button which can then be clicked.

Enter a document name in the top field. Select a template from the ‘Select Template’ drop down. Different templates have different data field options. The list of Template types differs based on the exchange type.

Once the Header and Item fields have been completed, click “Insert Cargo Item” to add it to the “Items” list. These items can be clicked on and edited until the Cargo Order has been saved and submitted. Users can navigate between items using the arrow keys or the selected the item with their curser.

Clicking on an item will change the “Insert Cargo Item” button into a “Clear Selected” button. Pressing “Clear Selected” takes users out of editing items and they can continue to add more.

At least one of the following is required to create cargo: Bill of Lading, House Waybill, or Booking Reference.

Paste Items from List

The “Paste Items from list” button, found to the top right of page, allows users to enter multiple rows of data copied from an external document to speed up data entry.

Clicking the button triggers a pop-up window. Select a target field from the drop-down and enter the data in the field. Press ‘OK’.

This generates numerous cargo items, as seen below,

Items can be deleted using the delete icon: image-20240924-042410.png
