Document Types
This page is managed by PortConnect. Contact PortConnect to have new types added.
Summary
Document Types are used to group files which serve the same function. This assists which uploading and managing documents.
Each Document type is associated to an ‘Exchange Type’ (Load/Discharge). The exchange type appears on the document upload screen when selecting the document type. Any document tagged as ‘Remain on board’ will be counted as Discharge Exchange type unless the type is manually changed when uploading the document.
Document Types - Load, Discharge, Booking, Manifest appear on the dashboard; do not add or remove these types
Functionality
Create a Document Type
To create a document type, click the button: found to the top left of the page. In the pop-up window, complete the fields. Click OK.
The document type created will now appear in the grid.
Edit a Document Type
To edit a document type, click the ‘Edit’ icon found under column heading 'Options':
Deactivate/Activate a Document Type
Uncheck the checkbox under column heading ‘Active' to deactivate a document type. Check the corresponding checkbox
to activate.
Filter Document Types
Filtering options are available as follows:
Clear filters.
Text field to search a document type.
'Active Only': check to filter for only active records, uncheck to include inactive.
